well i got bored one day and decided im gonna learn to make an assault map called cs_DA_assault. so now i need ides as to what you guys want to put in there while i try to figure this damned program out.... i already had one idea where all the names of past and present DA members be on the office wall... so try to give more input as to how you guys would like the map to look like, please try to make it fun and balanced so that we can all have fun. keeping it balanced is the goal!!!!

Well, what I had in mind was that you make it sort of a Hotel assualt. Make our names like you said in the office, have a pool out side so you can jump off of the roof into it! Then have the rescue zone be out on the street. Keep a truck if you know how to do that(with cams). Then have some random rooms, and stairwells, vents. Put the hosties in the game room, and or office, but have the room be a glass room where you can see into it. That's what I'd like to see. |

I was trying to figure out how to put all the entities needed to make the map usable this morning but this stupid program is hard to use and its taking me forever to make the damned map... lol but i like the ideas that you threw out there fitzz ill make sure i have notes of those... |

yeah.. that program is ridiculously time consuming. it's going to take you a loong time to get a good finished map. if you actually get around to details, i'd like to see: -a garage door that opens and closes with a button. make sure this button is no where near the door so they cts cant wall it. -also, a skylight in the roof is always nice. 1337 is one of my favorite maps for that reason. -every assault has the truck. you'll have to make one ![]() -a few more entrances for cts would be nice, example as vents, and a tunnel. not another door. if you give another door, terrorists get raped. (such as in Christmas assault, and tierheim.) -vents are always a favorite, especially ones that open up into a big vent room. super cool. -note that you will want to keep the map open. if you clutter the inside of the map up, it won't be enjoyed as much. however, a few more spots for terrorists to hide wouldnt hurt. Ok so i went to a couple of forums where they had support for people like me who have a hard time understanding super nerd but it didnt help... lmao oh well looks like ill have to do learn this by myself hardcore... keep the ideas coming guys! |

good luck, thats the one thing i couldnt do, make maps and barely make models from scratch. ![]() re-texturing however is easy. u using worldcraft? or valve hammer editor ? |
